Open to young women in high school, The Jacksonville Harmony Show Chorus of Sweet Adelines International proudly sponsors an annual “Catch a Rising Star" Vocal Scholarship competition. Very talented vocalists from around our metro area bring a variety of musical styles & talent! The young women compete in two rounds of competition to narrow the field of entries to only the top five vocalists. These five lucky finalists will then perform as special guest soloists, on our Annual Show. The winner is selected by an audience vote.
Entry forms and details are being compiled and will be mailed out to schools and be available here very soon. Email to request materials. Saturday, April 10, 2010 - All entry materials due Auditions will be held for the first 20 complete entries received. Saturday, April 24, 2010 - First Round auditions [ field narrowed to 10]; location TBA Tuesday, May 11, 2010 - Second Round auditions 6PM[ field narrowed to 5 finalists] Saturday, June 19, 2010 - Final Competition at the Jacksonville Harmony chorus' Annual Show, 4:00PM, The Terry Theater of the Times Union Performing Arts Center
