Competition

Competition is a major and fun part of the barbershop world that helps keep us focused on raising the bar of performing excellence. We come together in a spirit of lighthearted contest, to see who's really got top form. We root for each other, cheer each other on, and once the medals have been handed out, we sing and party into the night!

 

Jacksonville Harmony is very proud of our chorus achievements

from our Regional Competitions:

• International Mid-size Chorus champions
• Sweet Adeline International Competitors in 2002, 2005, 2007, and 2009.
• Wild Card competitor for 2010

 

Regional

Every year Jacksonville Harmony Chorus attends regional contest.  Dozens of choruses and quartets come together to sing and compete. JHC consistently scores as one of the top 3 medalists.There are a number of judging categories, and the groups bring complete and entertaining packages. 

 

International

Sometime in the fall the winners of all regional contests -- and a few "wildcards" -- gather together at International competition. In 2010 International competition will be held in Seattle, WA. You can view the complete contest on a live webcast on the Sweet Adelines International website. This is the ultimate female barbershop competition -- not to be missed!
